Celebrate the Golden Age of the Silver Screen!

Classic movie lovers in Auburn, California!

Silver Screen's 18th year offers romantic triangles and romantic entanglements. Danger and murder. Laughter, song, dance, and a nudist camp-that's what Silver Screen offers in 2014, our 18th year. Every first Saturday, join other classic movie lovers as we watch stars such as Rex Harrison, Peter Sellers, Peter Lorre, Rita Hayworth, John Barrymore, Carol Lombard, Bette Davis, Jean Harlow and Cary Grant. Just to name a few!

Presented by the Auburn Library, the movies are shown at 1, 4, and 7:30 p.m. in the Beecher Room of the library, at 350 Nevada St. in Auburn. Admission is free.

From 7 to 9 p.m. on the Monday following Silver Screen, join Susan Rushton for a deeper discussion of the movie at Round Table Pizza in Auburn Town Center, 370 Elm Ave. in Auburn. Just bring $5, that month's discussion sheet -- available before the movie -- and an interest in looking at movies more carefully, finding more to enjoy in them. No purchase necessary.
